01 / PLANNING
Choose the operating pattern
A camper that stays at one location for a week may benefit from a different setup than a work truck used daily. State whether the terminal stays outside, is packed after every stop or must operate in motion. Portability can be more valuable than a permanent roof location when the parking position is obstructed.
02 / PLANNING
Review electrical and physical integration
Give the vehicle model, existing roof accessories and proposed power source. A cable passing through a door is not equivalent to a designed entry. Vehicle mounting, weather sealing, retention and any electrical changes should be documented by the appropriate installer.
03 / PLANNING
Plan the storage and service routine
A traveling unit needs a clear owner, a way to inspect connections and a secure place for loose accessories. Decide how the terminal is powered down, packed and checked before the next trip. RNP can review one vehicle first if a larger group uses similar equipment.
